Cramped and Dated Gets Opened and Refreshed
Krista helped her client tie together many design elements and three different patio levels in this surgical renovation of a classic Bird Rock garden. Krista opened the flow from the home, tied the new steps into an existing patio, expanded the pool deck, and even created a stylish solution for disguising the plastic above-ground spa. Krista’s expertise helped the client simplify and unify the design and achieve her goals.
Krista removed a narrow, awkward staircase that made entry into the back yard cramped and uninviting. Krista unified the different levels and brought the party to the pool deck with more seating and a fire pit. Krista also worked to tie together many new and existing materials in this small yet refined space.
The classic garden is now a lush green backdrop for the client’s garden antique collection. Even the garden shed (a focal feature) got spruced up with shutters fresh paint, and a new, lighted walkway to a new gate add beauty and detail.
